The Point: Pinterest Says Pro-life Group’s Posts are Porn

Well, another major social media platform has decided to take sides in the culture wars. This time it’s the very popular Pinterest. They placed pro-life organization Live Action on their porn-site block list. We know this thanks to an employee (who has since been fired), who sent the information to Project Veritas. When Live Action President Lila Rose went public with this lunacy, Pinterest suspended Live Action altogether. Why? Because of, they said, “Misinformation related to conspiracies and anti vacc[ination] advice.” Live Action doesn’t take a position on vaccines. As Lila tweeted, Pinterest “allows abortion clinics to freely post ads for mail-order abortions, like … RU-486. But they banned all @LiveAction’s pro-life posts today, saying it was because we may have ‘detrimental effects on health & public safety'.” This double standard might be the new normal for groups and individuals who are pro-life. After all, democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand just said pro-lifers should be considered as socially unacceptable as racists.
