Can Christians lead in this area of brokenness?

Twenty miles east of Atlanta is a large “quartz monzonite dome monadnock.” In other words, a big rock. It’s called Stone Mountain, and in 1915 it was the site of the re-organization of the Ku Klux Klan.

This Saturday, two evangelical leaders—Garland Hunt and Billy Humphrey—will boldly attempt to change the narrative of that iconic landmark. Tens of thousands of Christians, from hundreds of churches, will gather at Stone Mountain for a solemn assembly of repentance and a commitment to Christian unity.

According to its website, OneRace aims to “confront the historic division between black and white.” The event is not a one-day show. It’s the culmination of years of work to foster “cross-cultural relationships” among leadership and laity.
