Apologist and author Ravi Zacharias passed away yesterday. He was 74.
The first time I interviewed Ravi on BreakPoint This Week, I apologized for plagiarizing him so often over the years. But it is hard not to quote one of the greatest apologists of our lifetimes.
Ravi challenged thinkers to believe, and believers—like me—to think. He offered a serious approach to faith that connected Christ to philosophy and intellectual rigor and existential struggle. He not only answered the challenges of skeptics, he left them with questions about their own faith.
A friend at Ravi’s ministry told me it’s hard to imagine a Ravi-less world. Indeed it is, but his legacy is secure in an outstanding organization with outstanding people.
Please join me in praying for Ravi’s family and for RZIM, now that he is, as C.S. Lewis put it, “beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”
