Let’s pray for the persecuted. For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.

According to a new report by Aid to the Church in Need, the persecution of Christians around the globe is “worse than at any time in history.”

According to the report’s editor, “Not only are Christians more persecuted than any other faith group, but ever-increasing numbers are experiencing the very worst forms of persecution.”

This is just one of many reasons why I want to alert you and your church that this coming Sunday is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

Yes, our brothers and sisters need us to speak out, to let our leaders know the U. S. must use its influence to protect the persecuted. And we need to support groups that provide aid—humanitarian, legal, and political aid—to suffering Christians. But above all, we must pray for them fervently, which is what persecuted Christians say they need most.
