On Saturday, Bill Maher, comedian and host of HBO’s Real Time, stunned his audience and guests … twice. First, he criticized those on the Left who falsely accuse pro-lifers of just hating women before praising pro-lifers who think that all abortions should be illegal. At least, he said, they are consistent with what they believe. 

But it was when he described what they believed and what he thought about it that the audience was truly stunned: 

[Pro-lifers] think it’s murder, and it kind of is. I’m just okay with that. I am. I mean there’s 8 billion people in the world. I’m sorry. We won’t miss you. That’s my position on that. 

One of his guests, Piers Morgan gasped, “That’s quite harsh.” 

On one hand, Maher simply owned the science and what most are unwilling to say. On the other hand, being OK with murder, especially of a child, is reprehensible.  

The clip is shocking because abortion is, or at least should be.
