A Regrettable Pro-Abortion Study

CNN recently trumpeted a new study claiming that women who have had an abortion feel more relief than regret as time goes on. In fact, the study found “no evidence of emerging negative emotions or abortion decision regret.”

Unfortunately, the study’s authors weren’t looking very hard.

Reporting in WORLD Magazine, Leah Hickman notes that only 37.5% of the women asked to participate in the study did, which makes sense since women who suffer emotionally post-abortion are least likely to take part in such a study. And the number of women studied represented less than .01% of women having abortions every year.

WORLD then points us to recent studies linking abortion to higher rates of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, traumatic symptoms, etc.

This is why for balanced reporting from a Christian worldview, I turn to WORLD Magazine. And for your gift this month to the Colson Center, you can get a 1-year subscription to WORLD magazine for yourself or to gift to a friend. Find out more here.
