The Slaughter of Christians in Nigeria
The World Needs to Know
09/21/20
John Stonestreet David Carlson
Last Wednesday, I joined former U.S. Representative. Frank Wolf, current Representative Tulsi Gabbard, former NFL Super Bowl star Benjamin Watson, and Stephen Enada, President of the International Committee on Nigeria (ICON) to condemn the ongoing persecution of Christians there.
By any definition, the ongoing abductions, rapes, and murders of Christians in Nigeria is nothing short of genocide. As Rep. Wolf pointed out, more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than in the Middle East. He then urged President Trump to appoint a special envoy to apply pressure to the Nigerian government, which has turned a blind eye and at times been complicit in the slaughter of Christians.
The world, its leaders, and the media need to know what is happening in Nigeria. Please, come to BreakPoint.org and we’ll connect to important resources prepared by ICON, and link to the video of the event. Please share it on social media and send to your representatives in Congress. And above all, pray for peace in Nigeria.
